A Room of One's Own Non-Fiction Book Group

Contemporary topics, current events, science and society, the arts, people and places - let's explore our world with a good read and lively discussion. Open to all!
For our inaugural meeting, our moderator/coordinator has chosen Why Fish Don't Exist by LuLu Miller. Lively writing illuminates a scene from history that challenges notions of self-esteem and the order of living things.
The book is available for purchase at The Frugal Frigate, and if you mention it's for the book club you receive 10% off your purchase if it includes this title.
The plan is to meet bi-monthly for this non-fiction book group. Our second meeting will be September 23, 2021 7-9pm and the book for that meeting will be Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
