Book Bonanza a Huge Success
Principal Kate Pearne was quoted as saying,"When our teachers had the brilliant idea of breathing new life into our library's collection, the Frugal Frigate jumped at the opportunity to partner with Cope Middle School. We have received box after box of new books, donated by our Cope families, the community, and The Frugal Frigate. Our students are thrilled!"
Here's how it works, Cope gave us their wish list that we kept in the store for parents and public were able to review and then pick the book that they wanted to donate. We then had the buyer of the donation book fill out a special book plate that was created by the folks at Cope Middle School that shows the title of the book and who donated the book. We then order the book and place the book plate in the front cover of each book. As a bonus there was a percentage of the sales that was donated to the school library from us here at the Frugal Frigate. This promotion ran for about 5 weeks and the kids received lots of new books.
